Zimbabwe Power Company Gives Update On Electricity
The Zimbabwe Power Company has advised that it was making progress as far as restoring power at Hwange Power Station is concerned.
This follows the rolling out of stage 2 of load shedding which connotes about 18 hours of power cuts after a fault at the power generation plant.
Posting on Twitter last night, ZPC urged patience from consumers. The power company said:
We are pleased to announce that we are making great progress with restoring power at Hwange Power Station. Units 4 &2 were successfully synchronized onto the grid. Please bear with us as we continue to work flat out to restore all viable units within the next few hours.
Zimbabwe has a huge power deficit and the electricity which is being imported from Mozambique and South is not enough to meet the demand.
