ZIMA In A Complete Overhaul Exercise

ZIMA (Zimbabwe Music Awards) has decided to change its MO and establish a permanent office, hire staff and run programs throughout the year before the national big event, the Sunday Mail reports.

ZIMA is also aiming to attract permanent sponsors and has already delegated roles to its new staff abolishing the one-man show they previously held in the past years.

Speaking about the recent changes, ZIMA CEO, Nyadzayo gushed about their new system when he said:

Zimbabwe needs Zima to happen every year. We struggled in the past, maybe because of how we had configured it (Zima). I’m repeating something I have probably said before, but I think we have done it right this time.

ZIMA took its first hiatus in 2007 and only made a comeback in 2014 before disappearing again in 2016 due to a number of reasons.
