ZESA To Disconnect All Non-Paying Customers, Political Bigwigs Included
The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority has said in their bid to recover the $1.2 billion owed to them by different customers, they will disconnect non-payers regardless of their stature in society.
ZESA spokesperson said this to the Chronicle:
Zesa does not have bigwigs, does not have politicians, does not have big fish but it just has customers. We deal with customers as customers.
FeedbackWe have customer categories and we have a policy of dealing with customers who are in arrears, who are in debt. There is no favouritism, there is no sacred cow as far as customers are concerned. We are looking for $1,2 billion that is owed by our customers
ZESA has been facing a number of challenges in 2019. The govt recently threw them a lifeline by giving them an imports duty holiday for 2 years.
