South Africa Wins 2019 Rugby World Cup

South Africa rugby team, Springboks has just won the 2019 Rugby World Cup after beating England 32-12 in a match played this Saturday at the International Stadium Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan.

England didn’t get a toe in this game from minute one, something that can be attributed to South Africa’s superb performance. The Springboks were absolutely outstanding, absolutely everywhere.

A few years ago, it was folly to think that a black player like Siya Kolisi can be a Springbok captain. Today, together with a few other black players including Zimbabwe-born Tendai “The Beast” Mtawarira who was also part of the Springboks team, made history by lifting the World Cup trophy.

Mtawarira, England’s chief tormentor, and his fellow prop, Frans Malherbe were replaced just three minutes into the second half.

So far, South Africa has been winning the cup after every 12 years after winning it in 1995 and 2007.

Speaking ahead of the match, Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus said:

We now have what may be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to become World Champions, something that would mean so much to our country and our people.

We know the excitement that there is back home and that the country may well be coming to a standstill on Saturday lunchtime in South Africa. There’s a huge weight of expectation.
