Diabetics Hospital To Be Built In Harare

IONS Club Zimbabwe is mulling building a diabetics hospital in Harare Health Times reports.  The hospital aimed at curbing the chronic disease will help diabetic patients who have risen by 200K in 2 years according to the publication.

This was revealed by Jona Orama Machaya, the Lions Club council chairperson who spoke to the publication and said:

Diabetes is slowly becoming one of the largest killer diseases of our time and we are doing our best to combat the chronic disease. We are in the process of organising a huge awareness campaign next month and also mobilizing resources to build a clinic next year(2020) as part of strategies to combat diabetes.

This comes at a time where there are very few diabetes specialised clinics in the country.
