A' Level Economics Paper Leaks In Hwange

Three Advanced Level students were taken by police from Gebhuza Secondary School in Hwange after they were found in possession of the 2019 ZIMSEC Economics paper before the exam.

One of the three students reportedly sold a soft copy of the paper to the other two which he claimed to have obtained from a WhatsApp group. The incident was confirmed by Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) spokesperson Nicky Dlamini. She said:

We received a report about the issue and our officers are on the ground carrying out investigations.

We understand that police went to the school to talk to the head and have taken the students involved for questioning.

The fraud was discovered by the Economics teacher at the school, a Mr Mandira after the students went to him seeking his assistance to answer some questions before the exam.
