DOWNLOAD: SADC EXTREME TEMPERATURE ALERT

SADC has issued an “Extreme Temperature Alert” saying that temperatures are expected to reach about 30°C to 35°C are expected in bulk of central SADC in the next five days”.

Temperatures are already very high in most parts of Africa with Harare said to be around 35°C at the moment.

The regional grouping also warned that in some parts of the region, “temperatures have a high probability to exceed 40oC, thus reaching the threshold for heatwave alert during the forecast period”.
