Dynamos Lifts Inaugural Anti-sanctions Cup

Harare football powerhouse, Dynamos FC, won the inaugural Anti-sanctions Cup over Highlanders played at the National Sports Stadium on Friday.

The Glamour Boys won 1-0 courtesy of an Evans Katema header from a Selemani Jarrison free kick in the first half. Speaking to reporters after the match, DeMbare coach Tonderayi Ndiraya said:

I am happy that we won the game because every time that we meet Highlanders it is a game we want to win. Ultimately for us, it was about winning.

Yes, we had an opportunity to use some of our fringe players but what we wanted was a win and we got it so I am pleased.

Meanwhile, Highlanders Assistant coach Bhekitemba Ndlovu expressed disappointment over the loss to the club’s eternal rivals but took comfort from the fact that Bosso was able to blood some of its young players.
