MDC-T party youths have defied senior party leaders by refusing to take part in the ZANU PF-organised anti-sanctions march to be held tomorrow.
Youth national spokesperson Alfred Dzirutwe said that ZANU PF brought the sanctions on the country and ruling party elites continue to plunder the country’s resources. He is quoted by NewZimbabwe.com as saying:
First and foremost, the sanctions were put in place because of state-sponsored brutality and Zanu PF knows what needs to be done in terms of having the so-called sanctions removed which are issues to do with political reforms and human rights.
As MDC-T youths who are unemployed and face everyday struggles, we cannot be found singing from the same hymn book with those that have mismanaged the economy and continue to plunder the country’s resources for the benefit of cartels in Zanu PF.
MDC-T vice president Obert Gutu told State media on Wednesday that his party will participate in the marches. He further argued that sanctions do not affect ZANU PF elites only but all Zimbabweans.
They must go with their own anti- corruption banners and mingle with that lot
Stay away they will only turn the state killing apparatus against you ,but be sure to film them all because you will be able to see and record the real people that have brought misery to your streets for future reference
I predict a lot of soldiers in civilian clothing and paid up goons who have no loyalty but only for stolen blood money
Our Zimbabwean politicians should be very very careful when they talk about sanctions.Sanctions and corruption in ZANU PF led government are equally bad for ordinary citizens. If sanctions are removed the ruling party will never have any excuse for incompetency. It’s quite shocking to note that Mr Chamisa is for sanctions!Rakazvirova rikazhamba.
