Elephants Attack And Kill A Man In Hwange - Report

A Hwange villager reportedly died after he was attacked by elephants while herding cattle, the Chronicle reports.

This was confirmed by Zimparks Spokesperson Mr Tinashe Farawo who spoke to the publication and said:

We confirm that we received a report about a man who was killed by elephants in Lukosi area of Hwange and that becomes the 22nd incident of people killed by wildlife since January. Elephants account for 40 percent of these deaths

The incident brings the wild animals death toll to 22 in 2019 only. A few weeks ago, 2 minor children were attacked by a group of Hyenas in Kanyemba while they were following their parents who had gone to the local shops.
