Zimbabwe netball team, the Gems this Sunday won 68-35 against Kenya at the Africa Netball Cup underway in South Africa.
This is their first win at the tournament after being walked over by Uganda in the first match. They also lost their second match to hosts, South Africa.
Zimbabwe went into the game as favourites against the rising East African team and made 3 changes to the team that lost to South Africa on Saturday.
ZBC News reports that the Gems were not inspiring in the first quarter of the game, something that was attributed to lack of session and game time.
The Gems improved in the second quarter and dominated the match that when the half time whistle was blown, they were leading 39-14 having won the 2nd quarter 23-4.
They maintained the lead until the end of the game.
