Govt Refurbish Mt Darwin’s Tsakare FM Radio’s Transmitter – Report

Under the 100 Day Cycle program, The govt has refurbished Mt Darwin’s Tsakare FM Transmitter in a bid to emancipate marginalised communities ZBC News Reports

Tsakare FM Radio was battling old machinery problems and they could only reach a 5 km radius of their audience before the govt stepped in and increased their reach an 80KM radius.

This was revealed by Minister of State For Provincial affairs Dr Joram Gumbo who said:

The FM Radio Transmitter Installation project demonstrates the usefulness of the 100 Day Cycle Concept in the effective implementation of government programmes. The project is in line with the thrust and commitment of the new dispensation to improve the well-being of its citizens,

The recent upgrade saw the extension of the station’s transformer feeder cable and antenna and the tower to allow a wider reach. Some parts in Mt Darwin still do not have cellular and radio and TV reception up to this day.
