South African military generals on Tuesday visited Kopa (Dzingire) Growth Point in Chimanimani, one of the areas severely decimated by Tropical Cyclone Idai which hit Zimbabwe in March this year.
Speaking to ZBC News during a tour of the two bridges in Chimanimani, South African Defence Forces Director for Peace Support Operations Brigadier-General Zwelithini Ngcobo, said:
When we are in Zimbabwe we feel at home. Zimbabwe and South Africa are one. The relationship and our welcome here by locals is quite commendable, it shows our Ubuntu as Africans and the positive relationship we share in all sphere.
The generals arrived in Zimbabwe on Monday to tour two bridges that are being constructed with the help of South African military engineers.
The construction of the first bridge at Kopa Site 1 is complete while a second bridge is projected to be complete by mid-November.
