Some villagers in Sherwood, Kwekwe, on Monday said that they did not know First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa who was the guest of honour at the launch of the Midlands Province Integrated Environment at Bonstead Secondary School.
According to NewZimbabwe.com, when Midlands Provincial Affairs Minister Larry Mavhima was called to introduce Mnangagwa, he attested to her goods deeds in the area, but some villagers said that they did not know her. The First Lady responded:
I think those who said they did not know me are the newly married ones in this area because this is my community and I have worked for this community for a very long time.
Delivering her main speech, Mnangagwa said the integrated environmental programme was aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, in other words, to guarantee a clean and safe environment.
