Masvingo Cop Battles For His Life After His Colleague Accidentally Shoots Him

A Masvingo Cop is fighting for his life at a Masvingo hospital after his colleague shot him in the stomach by mistake. This happened after the officers retrieved the firearm from a suspect to verify if it was licensed. The other police officer accidentally pulled the trigger which hit his colleague.

The incident was confirmed by National Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi who said;

We are investigating a case in which a police officer was accidentally shot in the abdomen by a colleague while on duty. This occurred when our officers confiscated the firearm during interrogation
