Ingwebu's Royal Mahewu Comes Back
Fans of the Ingwebu’s non-alcoholic drink Mahewu were treated to an early Christmas present as the Bulawayo Municipality’s popular drink made its way into retailers’ shelves this past week. Royal Mahewu has been off the shelves for 2 years following a number of reasons chief among them the need to revamp the brewing machinery.
Speaking to Sunday News, Dumisani Mhlanga, Ingwebu Breweries’ MD said:
We are now selling the product on the market and our immediate focus is ensuring that what we produce is firstly absorbed by the local market and thereafter we are going to market it right across the country because it has a four months shelf life. We intend to put our footprint in every corner of the country and riding on that we are anticipating setting up a distribution point in Harare
FeedbackIngwebu Breweries is Bulawayo Municipality Commercial Undertakings’ baby. They also produce traditional beer apart from Mahewu.
