A former Zimparks Vice-Chairperson, Idah Mupamhanga, was charged for corruption for receiving payments from a Zimpark client into her personal account. Mupamhanga had facilitated a Zimparks lease for the company, Mabelengwe Safaris, that paid her, and she did this without a board resolution.
Mupamnhanga was brought before the Harare Magistrate’s court where she was not asked to plead but got bail at $1,000.
Mupamhanga was charged with criminal abuse of duty and corruptly concealing a transaction from a principal.
