“It’s A Hoax!”, ZERA Dismisses ‘Memo’ Claiming Fuel Price Is Now $18

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has dismissed reports that it has set a new fuel price effective on 14 October 2019.

In a statement on its social media accounts, ZERA categorically rejected the reports and refuted them as a hoax. The statement reads:

ZERA wishes to advise consumers that there is a fake fuel price list circulating on social media purporting to be effective on 14 Oct’ 19.

The official fuel price changes are only shared on official ZERA social media handles Twitter:@zeraenergy Facebook: @zeraenergy and ZERA web.
