“This Country Has All It Takes To Stand On Its Feet" - Mutsvangwa

Information Minister, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, has said that the country has what it needs to stand on its own.

She added that the country now needs to embark on education reforms for academic and educational institutions to produce graduates who are relevant to contemporary problems.

Addressing parents and students in Chimanimani where she was the guest of honor at Mutambara Secondary Mission’s prize-giving day on Friday, Mutsvangwa said:

This country has all it takes to stand on its feet, but, there is need to groom students who are able to utilise their education towards innovation and production in the country, government has already introduced innovation hubs in our state universities so that we produce students who are creative and self-sufficient.

Her remarks come after some have said that the high literacy rate which Zimbabwe boasts of is meaningless if that education cannot be transformed into tangible solutions to the country’s problems.
