Prosecutor-General Appeals High Court Ruling On Kasukuwere Mansion

Prosecutor General, Mr Kumbirai Hodzi has reportedly appealed against High Court order that reversed the confiscation of the mansion belonging to former Cabinet minister, Saviour Kasukuwere.

Kasukuwere skipped the country’s borders after a temporary release of his passport was granted on grounds that he wanted to seek medical attention.

He never returned, prompting the state to move for his Nyanga mansion which he had registered as surety.

High Court judge, Justice David Mangota, however, ruled against the confiscation of the mansion after Kasukuwere’s legal team applied against the State decision.

Hodzi now wants Mangota’s judgment reversed saying that Kasukuwere “cannot seek justice from the court which he is running away from”.
