Arms Cache Found In National Park
An arms cache of two metal boxes of ammunition with 1 500 rounds was found by wildlife rangers in the Zambezi National Park.
The discovery was confirmed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), with police national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi quoted as saying:
I can confirm that we received a report about such an incident and police are currently conducting investigations into the source of the ammunition.
FeedbackThe ammunition was discovered last Friday by Posent Mudenda, a Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority ranger in Kalisosa area in Zambezi National Park
Mudenda was leading a team of five wildlife researchers from Lion Encounter, who then alerted the police of the discovery.
