ED Not Attending Mugabe's Burial In Zvimba - Report

President Emmerson Mnangagwa will not be attending the late former President Robert Mugabe’s burial in Zvimba this weekend, Zim Morning Post claims.

Mnangagwa has designated Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Cain Mathema to lead a government delegation to Zvimba for Mugabe’s burial.

Mnangagwa is expected to arrive in Zimbabwe on Friday night from the UN General Assembly.

Mathema is expected to read a speech on President Mnangagwa’s behalf on Saturday if, according to Mugabe’s nephew, Leo Mugabe, things go according to plan.

Mugabe died on September 6 in Singapore where he was being treated for cancer. His burial was delayed as the State built a mausoleum for him at the National Heroes Acre.

Mugabe’s family later decided to snub the Heroes Acre and opted to bury his remains at Kutama Village in Zvimba.
