ED Not Attending Mugabe’s Burial In Zvimba – Report

President Emmerson Mnangagwa will not be attending the late former President Robert Mugabe’s burial in Zvimba this weekend, Zim Morning Post claims.

Mnangagwa has designated Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Cain Mathema to lead a government delegation to Zvimba for Mugabe’s burial.

Mnangagwa is expected to arrive in Zimbabwe on Friday night from the UN General Assembly.

Mathema is expected to read a speech on President Mnangagwa’s behalf on Saturday if, according to Mugabe’s nephew, Leo Mugabe, things go according to plan.

Mugabe died on September 6 in Singapore where he was being treated for cancer. His burial was delayed as the State built a mausoleum for him at the National Heroes Acre.

Mugabe’s family later decided to snub the Heroes Acre and opted to bury his remains at Kutama Village in Zvimba.

  1. ED is definitely not wanted in Zvimba. Zvimba people are serious bitter about how the military treated Mugabe during coup time. Mugabe died bitter man. Even in history ED will not be wanted in Zvimba for that reason. It’s now a grudge.

  2. Imwi maida kuti Mugabe atonge kusvika zvadini chaizvo. This guy had outlived his welcome. Look what he was doing at party level with his wife….aah kana ivo vrkwa zvimba Vance votonyarawo. Attending burial yaunozova kuti ndiyo team yakam bokupa poisoned ice cream is dangerous. So Ngwena is right do not go there. Its not zvimba people who do not like Ngwena but the G40 which is the minority anyway. Robert died bitter showing that he failed in his plan to install his wife president. He didn’t like to lose. He was egoistic. It was all about him him as far as power was concerned. RIP.

  3. ED have no any other option to fix the economy downfall because western countries was sanctioned him with his party officials and now he is begging them but naah ends meet.
