The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed finding missing Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association acting president, Dr Peter Magombeyi.
In a statement released on Thursday night, ZRP national spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said:
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms that Dr Peter Gabriel Magombeyi (26) who went missing on 14 September 2019 in Budiriro, Harare, has been found by the police in Nyabira tonight.
Currently, we are conducting investigations with a view of establishing what actually transpired. More information will be released soon.
The ZRP have not “found” Dr Magombeyi but rather they have produced him after domestic and international pressure. Thanks also, to the presence of UN human rights rapporteur, Voule.
