Zimbabwean poet, Ngoni Paradzahova, has published an emotional and investigative poem over the missing president of the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association, Dr Peter Magombeyi. The medical doctor went missing on Saturday 14 September and his whereabouts are still unknown.
He also speaks of the still missing journalist, Itai Dzamara. Itai Dzamara, when loosely literally translated means “Do Until”, are concepts used by the poet to also suggest that anyone making people disappear had done so to many people now.
The poet says that authorities should thoroughly investigate the matter and bring back the doctor in whatever state he is, that is, safe, ill or dead for closure to his family.
He also said that that Magombeyi was not only important to his family as he provided medical services to the whole nation.
He challenged spiritual leaders (prophets) to also help in tracking the missing doctor.
Meanwhile, the state has since announced that investigations are already underway to establish Magombeyi’s whereabouts.
