Dr Henry Madzorera has said that the government should stop lying that the disappearance of citizens in the country was being instigated and executed by a third force.
His remarks come after the government has said that there are some elements in society that want to tarnish the image of the government led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
There have been a series of disappearances and torture of opposition MDC members, human rights defenders and government critics with the latest person to vanish being Doctor Peter Magombeyi.
Dr Madzorera said that the government which has previously and publicly beaten up opposition leaders whilst the whole watched cannot deny abducting Dr Magombeyi.
