Meet Amos The 15 Year Old Kadoma Entrepreneur

A 15-year-old boy from Kadoma is making money selling bricks and employing people old enough to be his father Sunday Mail reports.   Amos who learnt the trade from his brother is a form one student at one of the local schools in Kadoma and helps his brother take care of the family and pays his own fees.

Amos according to some of his friends who spoke to the Sunday Mail concentrates more on selling bricks as well as sourcing coal and water as he employes part-time workers who produce the bricks. Speaking to the publication Amos’s brother remembers how he started:

When he was a little boy, he used to come here and simply watch us do our work. I often had to refrain him from stepping into the mud as he attempted to lift the heavy brick moulding machine. I only taught him the basics and in no time, he elected to be independent. At first, I felt for him since I thought he would not withstand such hard labour.

Amos also spoke to the publication and said he no longer moulded bricks as he relied more on hired labour:

I was encouraged by my brother Shelton. At first, it was very hard, but I no longer mould the bricks, l now rely on hired labour.
