The Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) says its members are resigning in large numbers from the teaching profession across the country.
The Union claims to have received 190 resignations since the beginning of August. ARTUZ said in a statement:
We continue to receive resignation messages from teachers across the country. We have received 190 beginning August to date.
We demand an urgent education stakeholders’ meeting to dialogue on how we can save our sector from collapse.

Hi……… I resigned from the ministry and public service from the ……… of September. I need to pursue a life in other avenues. Thanks for being our light and guide during the perilous moments.
Will always get in touch for insights. Continue with the battle with all enthusiasm and energy as usual. You are many teachers’ hope. I hope you will surpass the level of unionism to lead in greater spheres. Thank you once again. …………..
