“95 Years Not Enough, For I Knew Him For Only 22 Years”, Chatunga Mugabe

The late former President Robert Mugabe’s younger son, Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe, said that though his father lived up to the age of 95 years, to him it was not enough as they were together for only 22 years. In an interview with ZBC News at the Mugabe family’s Borrowdale home, Chatunga said:

Dad raised me for this moment and I’m not extremely saddened by it (Robert Mugabe’s death) because he prepared me and I have everything that I need in life to be able to live on and have my own family…

What I would like to say is that I miss my dad, that’s something that cannot be replaced and I feel that everyone should cherish their parents when they still have them because … 95 years were not enough for me because I only knew him for 22 years. I would have loved to have way more years, way more things to tell him…
