Government Helps 96 Return To Zimbabwe Following Xenophobic Attacks

The government of Zimbabwe has helped 96 Zimbabweans return home to Zimbabwe following the Xenophobic attacks in South Africa recently. About 170 Zimbabweans are reported to have been displaced in the recent attacks. The 96 left in two buses from Gauteng Province on 12 September 2019.

Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to South Africa, David Hamadziripi said:

A total of 171 Zimbabweans were affected and 96 have decided to come home. The Government of Zimbabwe paid for their repatriation.
