Duo Demands Bribes From Magaya Using Auxillia Mnangagwa's Name
Two people were arrested after they reportedly tried to extort USD40 000 from Prophetic Deliverance and Healing leader, Walter Magaya using the name of the first lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa.
Pertinus Zvabva of Crowhill West and an ex-soldier Takesure Marisa of Kuwadzana allegedly told Magaya that the first lady would make his rape cases disappear if he paid the money in question.
Magaya’s lieutenants were suspicious of the duo and reported the matter to the police who then set a trap for the duo.
Zvabva was arrested at Rowan Martin Building where she had agreed to meet after refusing to collect part of the money at Magaya’s hotel in Prospect Hotel. Marisa was later arrested near the Harare Magistrates’ Court.
They were taken to Harare Central Police Station for further investigations by the CID Law and Order Section.
