FC Platinum Regain Top Spot
FC Platinum regained top spot in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League following a 2-0 win over Herentals F.C. at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Pure Platinum play scored the goals through Albert Eonde and substitute Rodwell Chinyengetere.
The win took FC Platinum to the summit of the log at the expense of ZPC Kariba which is also on 39 points but the former has a superior goal difference.
FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza lamented the absence of 10 first-team players due to injury, suspension and national duty, forcing him to field youngsters. He said:
Look, I have to be honest. For us to really push for the championship, looking at where we are, we don’t have depth.
