Mugabe Built US$1 Billion Empire - Report
The late former Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe and his wife, Grace accumulated wealth at more than $1billion, including six residences and a series of farms around the country, a Mail Online report claims.
One of the couple’s extravagant properties is the famous Blue Roof mansion located in Harare’s Borrowdale suburb.
The house is reported to have 25 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and spas, massive reception rooms and a series of offices.
According to one U.S. diplomatic cable published by WikiLeaks which the report cites, ‘the full extent of President Mugabe’s assets are unknown, but are rumoured to exceed $1billion in value’. That was in 2001.
The Mugabes also bought a £4million villa in Hong Kong in 2008, they acquired 15 farms through the controversial land reform programme.

Grace is reported to own houses in South Africa, Dubai and Singapore.
It was also widely reported that Grace was duped by a Lebanese diamond dealer over a deal involving a 100-carat diamond.
Grace allegedly owns vast tracks of land in Mazowe and bought rare diamond jewellery and Rolls-Royce limousines for her playboy sons.
