“No Gig! I Choose To #Mute Mafikizolo Over Violence In South Africa” – ZIMBABWEANS

Some Zimbabweans have chosen to boycott Mafikizolo’s concert as a way to show displeasure to violent protests in South Africa which were targeted at foreign truck drivers, foreign-owned vehicles and foreign-owned businesses.

Mafikizolo are due to perform at the Harare International Conference Centre on Friday night.

The show dubbed “Mafikizolo back in town” features local artists, Tocky Vibes, Gemma Griffiths and Suluman Chimbetu, among several other local artists.

Others, however, disagree with the strategy noting that Mafikizolo have already been paid. They note that boycotting the show will only hurt a fellow Zimbabwean who organised the show.

They said that the best response to cruelty was showing love and kindness.
