The police were still holding Tabitha Khumalo’s car days after she was released. This prompted a Bulawayo Judge Justice Thompson Mubhukwa to order its release.
Tabitha was arrested last month as she was carrying out a promotional campaign to mobilise people to go to the MDC planned protests in numbers. She was later on released on bail and even walked into parliament last week to a cheering crowd.
The Bulawayo east legislator was released on bail but the police did not release her car till she had to approach the high court to get her car. The judge ruled in her favour saying it was unlawful to hold the car and that the police should unconditionally give Tabitha her car.
