Ndiweni Imprisonment A Direct Attack On Zimbabwean Culture And The Institution Of Traditional Leaders - Chamisa

The youthful MDC leader has blamed ED for imprisoning Chief Nhanhlayamangwe Ndiweni.  Calling it an embarrassment Chamisa said:

This has never happened in this country before. It is taboo that a President can cause the arrest of a chief. Chiefs are respected people in our society and it has never happened that a president interferes with their affairs. This only confirms that his (Mnangagwa) days are numbered. The arrest of Chief Ndiweni was a total embarrassment caused by a man who is hungry for power.

Chief Ndiweni was sentenced to 18 months in prison last month after he was convicted of destroying one of his subjects’ property. He was since released on bail pending an appeal and has so far recorded a video thanking his supporters.
