Mighty Warriors Face FIFA Sanction
After boycotting yesterday’s match the female footballers may have subjected themselves to a FIFA sanction, The Herald reports. Yesterday The Mighty Warriors did not show up for duty till kick-off time on the second round of the Olympics Qualifier that was supposed to take place in Zambia. The ladies have been having a number of challenges of late with their coach saying ZIFA was their worst enemy
After boycotting yesterday’s match Zambia was forced to take action and this is what a football body leader in Zambia said about the possible consequences of the action taken by the Mighty Warriors:
What happens is that we are travelling back tomorrow definitely as per programme but decisions and everything else is done by CAF or FIFA. We are law-abiding, we don’t take the law into our own hands. At the moment we can say a report has to be done by the match commissioner to FIFA and CAF. Whatever decision is coming out of there, we shall abide by it.
