US Embassy In Harare Remembers Itayi Dzamara On International Day Of The Victims Of Enforced Disappearance

Yesterday was the International Day of The Victims Of Enforced Disappearance, the US embassy took the time to remember missing activist Itayi Dzamara. Itayi went missing in March 2015 and he has never been seen since. Taking it to Twitter, The US Embassy in Harare penned:

On this International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearance, we remember journalist & activist Itai Dzamara & all other victims in Zimbabwe. Articles 48-50 of the #Zimbabwe constitution define the right to life, personal liberty & the rights of arrested & detained persons

The Tweet was met with so much wrath with some accusing the Embassy of being in bed with the main opposition party the MDC.

We remember Michael Brown, Laquan Macdonald, Antwon Rose, Emantic Bradford Jnr, Botha Shem Jean, Stephon Clark, Akai Gurley, Terence Crutcher, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin and many others who have perished due to state sponsored brutality of the US government. Lest we forget.
