Kwekwe Machete Robber Jailed For 3 Years

A Machete-wielding robber was jailed for an effective 36 months this week after robbing a woman of US $4000 and clothes worth $100. Obvious Peter Tembo on December 11 last year approached Jane Ngura and grabbed her satchel which had USD $4000 and some clothes.

When jane discovered she was being robbed she fought back but Tembo produced a Machete and struck her right arm until she released the bag. Tembo fled the scene and Ngura reported the case to the police.

Tembo will save 30 months in jail after 6 months were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
