Zimbabwe Defeats Uganda In Rugby Africa Victory Cup

Zimbabwe’s Sables defeated Uganda 32 – 26 in the Rugby Africa Victory Cup on Saturday (24 August 2019). The Zim team has gone unbeaten in its 4 matches so far: Zambia, Kenya and now Uganda twice.

Said Sables coach Brendan Dawson:

“I’m very happy about the win…. There were a lot of strange decisions made out there which swung the game back and forth but I’m very grateful we got the win.

We allowed the opposition to get into the game. We were getting great momentum but we allowed them to come in the game; we have got to protect our ball and look after our ball. We are not doing that accurately enough.”
