FULL TEXT: Police Summon ALL Mthwakazi Republic Members For Identification Parade

Bulawayo Police have reportedly summoned members of the Mthwakazi Republic for identification parade for crimes allegedly committed sometime in July. See the party’s full statement below.

*MRP members summoned to Bulawayo central police station.*
MRP members Luckson Maphosa and Marshal Sibanda have just been summoned by ZRP Bulawayo Central CID Law and Order for undisclosed reasons. The Duo were actually accompanied by Attorney Dumisani Dube, MRP NEC Security Mxolisi Mhlanga and the Bulawayo provincial treasurer Nkosinathi Ncube.

Upon arrival, the Police told the Attorney that MRP were wanted for Parade Identification for some Crimes that were allegedly committed in July and sometime last week.

The Police requested that all MRP members should appear in Bulawayo Central Police CID Law and Order tomorrow the 23rd of August 2019 at 0900 for Parade Identification.

The parade identification according to the CID Law and Order in Bulawayo central follows the beating of Kambarami during the skirmishes that involved the Town Clerk Christopher Dube and the Shona Councillors. Our members are also wanted for the heavy demonstrations that took place on Friday the 16th of August 2019 soon after the Sentencing of Chief Nhlanhla Ndiweni by Gladmore Mushowe. The demonstrations happened outside the magistrate court and around 6th avenue where the police had to run battles with the members of the public.

Meanwhile, our 11 members Marshall Sibanda, Nkosinathi Ncube,Luckson Maphosa, Rodney Ncube, Mthabisi Ncube, Mqondisi Sibanda, Thembinkosi Mfulongashi Mpofu, Iphithule Bazooka Malahleka, Killian Masuku, Nkomo and Sithembakuye Nyoni, the only female lady who took part who were arrested in February 2019 for demonstration at Rainbow Hotel were yesterday acquitted by Bulawayo Tradgold Magistrate Jamela. In handing down his Judgement the Magistrate Lizwe Jamela said the Accused had a Constitutional right to demonstrate peacefully. Dumisani Dube of Abemmeli Lawyers Human rights Network represented the eleven.
