Finance Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube has said that while the International Monetary Fund supports an increase of civil servants salaries, the financial institution does not support borrowing for the purposes of paying workers. His remarks come when workers are demanding a salary hike saying that both the cushioning allowance and the salary have already been eroded by the soaring inflation. He said that salary increments must be sustainable and the money used must be from tax revenues.
