Godfrey was the Danhiko annual paralympic games chair. He was also the Danhiko Deputy Director. Grace Mugabe was the patron of the Trust.

Contacted by the Daily News after a video publicised by Prof Jonathan Moyo that bore his name as an example of President Mnangagwa’s cruelty, Majonga simply said:
I have nothing to say, why don’t you ask the people making the allegations? Besides, I didn’t hear what the president said, I was attending a funeral. The people who can help you is the person making the allegations. I have no comment.
3. President Mnangagwa was fingered in Majonga’s accident that left him paralysed.
According to former President Robert Mugabe, Majonga and President Mnangagwa collided at a flat in Harare and then minister Mnangagwa gave Majonga an option to sit on a hot stove or jump from the 3rd flow of a high rise in Harare. He sustained injuries from the jump that made him wheelchair-bound for life. President Mnangagwa denied the allegations.

Prior to his injury in 1987, Majonga was a rising Television star and a newscaster on ZBC TV a career that ended abruptly after his accident.
Majonga who was ranked among the top news casters of all time on the public broadcaster — ZBC — used to anchor the 8pm news bulletin alongside the likes of Dorcas Chibanda, Shingirai Tungwarara, Lydia Mavhengere, Collen Harvey to mention but a few.
