MDC Confirms Approaching High Court To Nullify Demo Prohibition Order

The opposition MDC has confirmed filing an urgent High Court application which seeks to nullify the police Prohibition Order which was served against the party’s planned demonstrations scheduled to start on the 16th of August 2019. Posting on Twitter, the party said:

An urgent application to the #HighCourt has been filed seeking for an interdict to bar anyone from interfering with the people’s march today as @PoliceZimbabwe had issued an 11th hour prohibition order against #FreeZimbabweCampaign last night. #MDCRELOAD @nelsonchamisa

Meanwhile, party leader, advocate Nelson Chamisa who has promised that he will be in the trenches with the masses said that the demonstrations were unstoppable.
