20 High Profile Coaches Apply For Manica Diamonds F.C. Vacancy
Manica Diamonds FC recently fired head coach Luke “Vahombe” Masomere with reports indicating that about 20 high profile coaches have applied for the vacancy.
Masomere, the founding Manica Diamonds coach was sacked after the club endured a dry spell with relegation looming on the horizon.
Masimba Chihowa, the Manica Diamonds chairman told reporters that his club was not in a hurry to appoint a substantive coach. He said:
I think this is an expression of confidence and respect that Manica Diamonds commands in domestic football.
Yes, results have not been coming our way as much as we would have loved, but the mere fact that we have about 20 coaches expressing interest in joining us is confirmation that we are a brand worthy associating with.

However, I should hasten mention that we are not in a hurry as a club to find a replacement for Luke Masomere. We will do that when the right time comes.
