Key Witness To Mupfumira Corruption Case Relocated From Harare

A key witness to the corruption case of Tourism Minister, Priscah Mupfumira, has reportedly been transferred to Karoi.

The transfer of Detective Assistant Inspector Naison Ndlovu, as others argue, will likely affect the prosecution of the case since Karoi is very far away from Harare.

Unnamed sources who spoke to the Herald confirmed the transfer and expressed concern over the mysterious nature of the transfer. The source said:

We heard Ndlovu has been transferred to Karoi but the reason is not yet clear to us. It sounds strange considering that he is part of the investigations of a high-profile corruption case involving Mupfumira.

He was one of the arresting details and sending him to Karoi will not help the investigations.

The transfer was also confirmed by national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi who ruled out the possibility of any sinister intentions.

Nyathi said that the transfer was neither unique nor alarming as transfers always happen.
