Advocate Thabani Mpofu Offers To Prosecute Chiadzwa & Command Farming Looters For Free
Prominent Harare lawyer, Advocate Thabami Mpofu, has challenged the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) to be allowed to prosecute those who allegedly looted Chiadzwa diamonds and corruptly benefited from Command Agriculture funds.
Mpofu claimed that those who benefitted unlawfully from the Chiadzwa gems are known and that what happened with Command farming is known as well and he is ready to prosecute for free.
The reconstituted ZACC is chaired by Justice Loice Matanda-Moyo, the wife of a former army General, Subusiso Moyo, who is now Foreign Affairs Minister.
In a brief statement on Thursday, Mpofu, who represented MDC leader Nelson Chamisa in his Constitutional Court challenge against President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s victory in the 2018 presidential elections, said:
We know who it is that has raided the public purse. We know who looted Chiadzwa.

ZACC was recently granted arresting powers by President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Its high profile arrest to date is former Tourism Minister Prisca Mupfumira.
Mupfumira implicated in alleged corruption during her stint as Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister between 2014 and 2017.
She is facing criminal abuse of office, fraud and money laundering charges and has been denied bail.
