COSAFA WC: Mighty Warriors Knocked Out By Banyana Banyana
Zimbabwe senior women soccer team, Mighty Warriors have crashed out of the Cosafa Women Championship after losing by three goals to one against Banyana Banyana of South Africa this Thursday.
Zimbabwe’s perennial stiff rivals, South Africa, got their goals from Mbane (18th minute), Mtahndi (45+2) and Ndimeni in the 81st minute.
Zimbabwe got their consoling goal from Chirandu in the 21st minute.
The Mighty Warriors will now play for bronze against Botswana on 10 August at 1400 hours whilst South Africa will play their third final in a row, against Zambia on the 11th August.
Earlier on Thursday, Zimbabwe under 20 women also crashed out of the Cosafa Women Championship after losing a single goal to nil against Zambia.
