The roads leading to Pungwe falls are not ideal for small vehicles. Get yourself a 4X4, visit the falls and come back and testify to us about the beauty of the place…

2. Natelate Monument

These ruins are in Matebeleland about 25 KM east of Shangani. They are close to Dhlodhlo ruins. The ruins are probably the most architecturally satisfying ruins in Zimbabwe.

The beauty of the site is enhanced by the strange shaped cabbage trees (Cussonia sp) locally named mufenge and the aloes (Aloe chabaudii and Aloe excelsa) which grow out of the walls. The views widen as the visitor ascends the large rounded granite kopje and on a clear day Danan’ombe is visible 22 Kilometres to the southwest. Naletale has undoubtedly the most magnificent decorated walls amongst the 300 dry-stone walled monuments to be found throughout Zimbabwe and the only ruin to have all types of patterning highlighted as banded iron-stone decorations “

The ruins are just a few Kilometers from Danan’ombe monument a once esteemed Torwa capital.

3. Gandavaroyi Falls

These falls are believed to be sacred by locals in Gokwe where they are located. Located about 100 km out of Nembudziya the falls are breathtaking and a clear work of wonders just like many waterfalls in Zimbabwe.

Don’t visit the falls if you are superstitious. And it may not be a wise idea to dive around the pool if you cant swim. Crocodiles are also believed to roam around the area. However,  the view and the beautiful falls are worth the distances.
