Govt To Set Up A Fuel Stabilization Fund

A fuel stabilisation fund is reportedly on the cards ZBC News Online revealed. The Fund will act as a buffer that will cushion consumers from acute fuel shortages. Fuel shortages have ravaged the country since October 2018. The Government is said to be about to start consultations with industries in regards to the establishment of the fund.

This was revealed by the Deputy Minister of Energy at the CZI annual congress in Vic Falls:

The ministry will be proposing a fuel stabilisation fund which will act as a buffer to cushion the customers from acute fuel price increases. Consulations will shortlly be taking place within the government over the matter.

Fuel has been scarce despite the price increase that we saw this week and on 12 July.
